Greatest Gift of All~

Our youngest child was baptized this past Sunday.  All six of our children have now made a profession of faith and been baptized. 3 John 1:4 No greater JOY than to know that my children walk in Truth.

Knowing my word for 2013....  sometimes makes it harder to LIVE Peace.....  lately it has been extremely difficult for me.

A while back I was reading in Romans ....

As far as it depends on you....  live at peace with all people.

AS FAR AS IT DEPENDS ON ME....

Then a few weeks ago I received this from my secret sister.

Listen to me! Tune out others voices, so that you, Teena, can hear Me more clearly. I designed Teena to dwell in Peace all day; each day. Draw near to Me; receive My Peace~  Col 3:15

Just what I needed but that isn't the end of that story.  Let me back up a week before I received this gift. I bought Mandi & Lysa the book "Jesus Calling" for Easter. I was reading the devotion on Easter eve as I set out their gifts. It touched me deep. It was like it was speaking directly to me! I read it again... I let it soak in. It was the March 31st devotional....   it was after midnight so I read Easter Sunday and this is what it said at the end of the devotion...

Isn't God faithful. It is the same thing I my secret sister gave me just last week.

Very Peaceful Place~

Each year we go to Destin. This is such a highlight for me. We stay at a military campground in a cabin. It isn't real fancy but we love it.  It sleeps 7.  Mike & Amber will join us for part of the time.

Destin is on the gulf of Mexico. We stay on the bay and go over the bridge to the *big* beach every day.  I love my mornings of walking and sitting on the bay reading.  I love the white sand and emerald waters.  I am so very thankful for this place we found years ago (2000).  So many memories made.

As you can see.....   one of my favorite places on earth. So very peaceful and calming. Thanks for letting me share.

What it is All About!

Our friend Kees (a Compassion Advocate that told us about Erik needing a sponsor) who travels to Bolivia every year and stays for extended periods of time sent me a msg the other day on facebook.

It scared me at first because he simply said

"I need to talk with you when you can."   I knew he was in Bolivia.

I sent him a msg back asking if something was wrong with our sponsored child, Erik.  He then asked if I could call him.

Can you say I was a little freaked out?

I called.. asked if he was back in the states or in Bolivia and he said Bolivia~how cool is that?

He told me that Erik was very very happy with us and that when they were playing a game at the project the asked who can name your sponsor and where they are from?  

Erik raised his hand and answered.....  Kees said they all clapped!

He then told me that Erik feels very loved. He loves our letters.  He then told me that Erik's sister Marisbel cries because she doesn't receive any letters. We have sent stickers and told Erik to tell her we loved her.  Kees said her sponsor doesn't send letters.  It is so very important for them to know how important they are to us....  to God. 

That night I received THIS on my fb ~

Today, I received a letter from Erik!
