A small update....

One of my best friends gave me this candle for Christmas! It is more than just a candle.. 1 candle feeds 1 orphan for 1 week! This  is a picture of  Peaceful. The candle comes with her story.

On the side of the candle is the handprint of a small child. I just love it. So very thankful for this gift that gives back. I often wonder if my friends and family grow weary hearing me talk about Compassion or Mandi's trip to Africa...  or our pen pals from different countries...   Thank you my dear friend for understanding. For His glory....

I love the hand print!

Just to let you know that Shakil and Sandra have been sponsored! Fana has not yet found a sponsor. Please if you believe God is leading you to sponsor him ....  just let Vicki or me know.  Thank you for your comments and for praying for these three Compassion Children. I can not share enough how their lives will be forever changed....  and yours too!

These are my new folders.  One for each one of our sponsored/correspondent children. Plus one for my Compassion friends/advocates/bloggers.

Ucok's (our sponsored child) letters to us!

Please take a few minutes and pray for Joanne Heim. She is a wife, mom..... This past week she suffered a stroke. She needs a miracle. You can read about Joanne on her blog... My heart is heavy and I am praying for all of them.

We always thank God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ when we pray for you. Because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all of God's people.   Col. 1:3-4

  1. What a lovely gift Teena. You have such a dear heart. I don't think anyone could get tired of hearing you talk about Compassion. You live out what is so dear to you.
    I am praying for Joanne.

  2. I love the colorful folders! I keep all of our letters in 3 ring binders. Then I have a separate binder for writing letters. With 19 kids to write to, though, it's quite an operation.r
