A Summer Day....

Yesterday I had a few errands to run so I decided I would make it a "day to remember" for the kids. Well, the three youngest anyway. The older three have gone their own way.... hehe. Not really... Michael is married (to Amber) and they live in Orlando now, Mandi is taking some classes at a local tech. college, and Dakota was gone to the beach with some friends.

I did a few errands and then took them to the library. They have come to love the library. We updated all their library cards...found the lost library books, paid the fines and are now good to go.

They like to get on the computers at the library because they are high-speed and they like to play games that will not load here at home. We did check out books and it was a wonderful time.

After we left with our books and our hearts content with computer time.... I surprised them with "summer free bowling." We just pay for shoe rental.... they were thrilled. The ONE game went quick but it was fun.

They did ask if they could play "putt-putt golf" and I gave them the lecture of "you were able to spend time at the library, go bowling and you are still whining & complaining?!"

Of course we finished our day out at Walmart. We picked up the normal milk, bread but we also bought some party goods for Wesley's upcoming party this week. We already did his "birthday" when we went to Orlando on the 14th. We are just having some little boys over to swim & play. Five or six little boys...with our two... makes about 8 little boys... should be lots of noise & fun.
just sharing a little of our "day to remember" with all of you....

May the JOY of the Lord be yours.....

  1. How fun. My kids have never been bowling. They have been asking about it lately so I think I will look into it. Sounds like a wonderful day.
