Have you ever noticed that when we are really weary.... down... feeling like we have been beaten down, tired, heavy, can't do "this" any longer....
and we cry out to God....
He gives MORE grace.
I see this pattern through my journey.... I walk along.... joyful.... well most of the time.... and from time to time I become really heavy... over something, a situation or just life... maybe a sustaining longing that the Lord has me walking through.... and I just feel like I can not do this anymore. I cry out to Him....
"I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry." Ps. 40:1
It is then... that it usually happens... grace.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire.... He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Ps. 40:2
and I feel the newness... to go on.... the JOY that flows back in.....
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Ps. 40:3
That is how I started my week.... just tired. weary. ready to give up.
as I read in my little devotional book.....
Since we have a great high priest... Jesus the Son of God let us hold firmly to the faith we profess... Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Heb. 4:14,16
and if you give up the fight just as the moment of victory approaches, you will grieve and disppoint Him. He has already entered "the most Holy Place" Ex. 26:33 on your behalf holding up your name on the palm of His hands. The messenger is now on His way to bring you your blessing, and the Holy Spirit simply awaits your act of trust, so He may whisper in your heart and echo of the answer from the throne of God. "It is done." Rev. 21:6 ~A.B. Simpson
God sees the end from the beginning......
When.... the weariness comes again.... and I am sure it will.... I will cry out to Him again....
till faith becomes sight.... TRUST God and do good.
