Sharing about the Children of the World....

These two girls are the ones that Alyssa and I stayed with at our friends home. We are so thankful that they opened their house up for Alyssa to be able to have time with these girls. We live over 24 miles from our church and you are suppose to live closer.... These girls were amazing.... so very grateful, and full of love. Listening to the pray.... WOW~ they are both 9 yrs old. One is from Uganda and the other from the Phillippines.

This is the group .... 15 children..... 10 girls & 5 boys..... Children of the World International Choir ~ east team.

So powerful, moving..... worshipping in song.... songs included "He's got the whole world in His hands, Revelation song, Trading my sorrows....

fun times....... as they travel the chaperones/leaders try to take them to different places to be able to experience some of the wonderful things that America has to offer.

Children of the World is a special group of orphaned and disadvantaged children from several different countries around the world. They travel the U.S. for 10 months putting a voice and face to the desperate needs of children whose lives have been devastated by civil war, famine, poverty, unclean water, and preventable diseases.
Children of the World not only ministers through song and testimony but also raises awareness and inspires individuals to get involved in ministry opportunities across the globe.

Clean water is essential for life.
But more than 1 billion people in the world lack access to clean water. This causes over 2 million unsafe drinking water deaths every year, and most are children.
Every day, 6,000 children die from water-related illnesses such as diarrhea, malaria, typhoid, cholera, worms, and parasites. With each sip the number of deaths grow. This contaminated water is the only water they have ever known. And for some, it will be the only water they ever have. The lack of clean drinking water in developing countries is the starting place of a thousand miseries. It exacerbates malnutrition, sickness, infant mortality, poverty, and illiteracy.
Their greatest need is clean water. ~causelife
These pics are without Alyssa.... I will try to post some with Alyssa. I am not on our home computer as it is TOO slow. So I will try to post some more... or add to these when I get home.
You can read about how this touched my Alyssa's (12) heart (below)... and changed her life. Our Christmas this year was different then the rest.....
Be blessed....
