Its the most busiest time of the year....

Each year I tell myself that this is the year that we will slow down. This is the year that we will sit and soak up the stillness, quietness.... the glory of Christmas.....

but again I find myself... rushing here and there.... oh it is *good* things....

Christmas caroling, Christmas shopping, Christmas party..... Christmas play practice, Christmas musical.... and the list goes on....

We are enjoying *some* of our Advent activites. I always find myself not doing as much as I wanted because of so many outside activities....

We finished up our ladies bible study this past week and it was so good for me. It was Stepping Up by Beth Moore. Just the night before I was very weary....

Beth shared about not growing weary.... about staying focused and taking the next step. That this is the road the Lord has us walking and He will give us DAILY grace to take the next step. He will fill us with His JOY and if we seek His face.... cry out to Him .... He will give us strength to strength.

Something happened too, that we could minister to a family. It was just a small thing. But we were all a part of it.... we were nervous at first but followed through. It is so true.... it is more blessed to give than received. Seeing MY children's JOY by seeing someone else blessed. I want to do more of that.

Would love to hear from all of you.....

for His glory~

  1. Teena,
It's the same around our place. This year I had decided that we would try to do school in December. NOT!! There is just too much going on. It's usually about this time each year I start longing for January. :-)
God bless your family in this wonderous holiday season and in the coming new year!!
    Love,
    Kris

  2. I know what you mean...having the best intentions about slowing down and soaking it in. So many things that I would like to do with the Grands, but not enough time. I have not even made the pizzelles I wanted to. By the way my Grandma was French, but we lived in a mostly Italian town. I wonder if French made it too.
    Blessings to you.
