Beautiful North Carolina~ Seeing His Gifts.

After we saw Maureen and heard all about Mercy House Global... the boys and I went back to our hotel. The next morning before driving home we decided to see "The Land of the Waterfalls." Last year when we visited Maureen I did not realize that these beautiful waterfalls were within 5 miles of us! I love seeing God's beauty. We are from South Georgia and for vacation we head to the beach so seeing the beautiful North Carolina Mountains was such an amazing time.

We stopped along the way and made sandwiches. The picture above on the left is where the first Hunger Games were filmed. The picture on the right is called Sliding Rock and even with it being cold our Wesley slid down it! He said the water was freezing!

I am so very thankful we were able to go. It is a long way but Maureen comes all the way from Kenya and she is so close to my heart. It was a highlight of 2016. Lots of memories made and so grateful to God for His glory.  Standing there seeing the falls.... was breath taking!
