Time is Running Out....

We have been home schooling for 23 years.  I still LOVE it.  It is sometimes a challenge and ...  through the years some months I wanted to scream but all in all... I am so very thankful for the gift to teach my children at home. So many memories and I know that one day this season will be over and God will bring the next season of my life.  I am thinking though about how short my years are that I have left.

Wesley is in 5th grade.  If God allows me to finish this journey with my youngest child graduating 12th grade then ....  I have 7.5 years left.   JUST. 7.5 YEARS LEFT.     Wow.   That makes my heart sad.

Really....   as my children enter the 9th grade they self teach so my assistance isn't needed much at all. Wesley will start the 9th grade in the fall of 2017....  I know that may seem like a long time...  but just think back to 2011... doesn't it seem like yesterday?  So, really in 3-4 years my teacher-led home schooling will be about over.

You know what that makes me want to do?

JESUS MORE......

So very thankful for this journey.  To you young moms....  do not grow weary.....   breathe deep and if you are struggling with phonics or math....  just set the books down and take a walk, cuddle and read a book,  go look for bugs.....   make a craft, sing a song.....   throw your head back and laugh, eat some ice cream!

For tomorrow this day will be a memory......

I'd love to know what curriculum that you use for high school!

  2. We have a lot of home school years left here. Sometimes we feel behind, but we all love it! We learn...we have fun!
