My Focus for 2013~ My Word...

One Word... for 2013.  My Word for 2012 was GRACE.  My Word for 2011 was MERCY....

By focusing on ONE word....   God grows me...  Juli explains it so well. Also, Jill over at her blog shares about her ONE word. A God-given word....  Juli explains... once I have a single word I start noticing it all around me!  That is exactly how God has worked in me~
This past year...  GRACE....  oh my....  HE is always right. Oh how I needed GRACE this year.... Oh how I needed to extend GRACE this year....  Oh how I needed our GRACE (Neema) this year. Every where.... GRACE...  sometimes crying out to Him for His GRACE~ other times praising Him for His GRACE....  also asking Him help me extend GRACE in those hard places... then when our newest Compassion child came to us...  by way of our oldest daughter (who could not keep her anymore) as I was looking over her letters....  there it was.....

I threw my head back and laughed.....   NEEMA... means GRACE in Swahili! Isn't God amazing....  even at the small things that are really SO BIG.

So....  the word that I believe He is impressing on me....  and has been for the past few weeks.... is

PEACE ....  

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father's Son, in truth and love. 2 Jn. 1:3

Seek peace and pursue it.... 1 Peter 3:11

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Col. 3:15

I am really excited to see where God takes me in 2013. 

 So many things happened in 2012 that GRACE kept popping up. Even....  the song by Tenth Ave. North called GRACE~ as I worked the Compassion table at one of their concerts...  that has been my song for 2012.
