Getting Ready.....

In 11 days .... Dakota will graduate high school.  He has been home schooled all of his life.  He enjoys music. He plays the drums and the guitar. He loves his 1998 Ford Mustang and just this past week put duals on it.  Not sure what all that means.... but two shiny pipes that say "Flowmaster" come out from under his rear bumper now.  He is our 2nd born son.  He is 8 yrs younger than his brother Michael (Mike).  He admires Mike and they have a great relationship.  Dakota wants to go into accounting....   just this week we received THE letter from the local college that he was accepted.  Yay!  Praise God.  I am so very thankful for these years of home schooling Dakota. He was an easy child to learn...  loved reading and we are so proud of him.

For all of you that wonder about the high school years.... you can do it!  Most colleges will work with you....    former home school veterans have paved the way for all of us. Be prepared...  find out what your local college (or college your child is interested in) require for home schooled students. Dakota and I went to the college last week, turned in his portfolio and SAT scores and we were very encouraged by the kindness shown to us.

SO... we are busy busy busy.  Lots of plans for the graduation on the 16th of April.  Getting pictures together, invitations sent....   pictures ordered....

If I seem a little quiet for the next week or so....    just know we are going here and there....  getting things ready.   Pray for us!

Grace and peace to you from God our Father~
