Years ago they counted the hours ... until Grandma & Papa would be here. They would wait on the trampoline..... they would ask .... "will they be here before lunch, before it is supper time, before it is dark?" When my parents .... their Grandma & Papa drove into our yard... you could hear the squeals.... not just from the children but from Grandma & Papa too!
Years later..... as my parents .. their grandparents (both sides) are gone..... and we miss them so very much.... they ask....
"Will she be here before lunch, will she be here... before supper, will she be here before dark?"
Their sister (my Mandi)..... is coming home from college for the long weekend!
The cake is made...... they are waiting..... rowdy...... but waiting.......
They get excited when Michael (my oldest) and his wife come too.... they live closer but they still get excited.
Wyatt said this morning....
"Mama, this will be the first time I will SEE Mandi since I was saved!"
Life continues to change...... sometimes I find myself sad... but the Lord continues to show me it is better to grab hold of it.... pray for His grace.... smile and love life.

I know exactly what you mean when you say that life continues to change. Each season we pass through I find myself doing many of the same things--yet circumstances are different. That is just the way of life. I pray that you and I both are able to keep our eyes on the Giver of "change" and rejoice in His "sameness". :-)
I will try to write soon!! I'm up to my eyeballs in processing the most delicious grape jam ever!! Very time consuming but oh so worth it!!
