As God refines us...

I have been reading Hinds Feet on High Places to the children. I may have mentioned this before. It is speaking volumes to me. Its funny how we believe something will be good for the children and it ends up blessing us more than them!

As several of you know I have a sustaining longing..... for years I have asked, begged, pleaded, cried and even lost hope.... waiting for God to answer. At times I find myself really not understanding the why of it all. I wonder and worry at times what good will come out of all of it. He does tell us that all things work together for the good....

I know it is through the trials, struggles, heartache..... He refines us....

The gold was heated until it was very, very hot. Everything inside the gold that was not good floated to the top and was removed, so all that was left was pure gold. As Much-Afraid stood fearfully looking at the fire, the Shepherd smiled and said "My rarest jewels and My finest gold are those who have gone through the fire. " Then He took her hand in His and continued, "So don't be surprised when you are tested by a fiery trial. Rejoice and be happy!" ~ Hinds Feet on High Places

Lately I find myself singing "I need Thee oh I need Thee... every hour I need Thee...."

I know I am His and He is mine..... and I do know that His ways are not my ways. So even when I can't figure it out.... and most times I can't... I keep reminding myself to just TRUST.

Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

I know that some of you may be wondering what in the world I am talking about.... if you will just pray that God will give me the grace & strength to continue on this journey... and that He will give me wisdom I would so appreciate it... more than words can express.

May you have a blessed weekend with your family~

  1. I'll be praying for you dear Teena. (((HUGS))) Those trials are so hard when we are going through them, aren't they? But the precious things HE brings from the fire are always worth it in the end. - Deedee

  2. You know I am praying for you! I love your pictures...the one on the bottom reminds me of little house on the!
    Love you~

  3. Teena, at our church some of the people have recently encouragement from the Lord to try one more time. We have been told prophetically to Expect him and to prepare with expectation. Many were ready to give up, they have prayed and pleaded and worked so hard, so long...but our Deliverer is coming. God's timing is perfect. Try one more time. Press into Jesus trusting. He has heard you. Prepare expecting Him to answer. He is coming.

  4. Finally getting caught up on all my blog reading. I'm praying for you right now my friend. So sorry I haven't been faithful in keeping you in my prayers lately, I will get better about that.

Thank you so much for sharing that wonderful story, I need to be reminded that God has a plan in my life. I jokingly, but very seriously was saying to another friend of mine lately that we should be shining soon with all the refining we have had in our lives. You too my friend shine brightly. I loved meeting you and so wish you lived closer to me, it would be so much fun to get together every once in awhile.

Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for Luke, you are amazing!

    Love ya,

  5. Teena,
How are you doing?? I was wondering about what your desire has been, I feel bad asking...I was just concerned.....
