Our Scavenger Hunt for Snow!

About two weeks ago.... we were expecting snow!  The kids were so excited!  You see ...  it hardly ever snows here in South Georgia.  The last time it did was in Feb. 2010.  So when the weather report said SNOW....    the excitement here was over the top!!

We waited.....   and waited .....

But.... even though it said snow......   only sleet.....

So on Wednesday afternoon we decided to drive north a bit.....    this was within 25 miles from our home....

They were sooooooo excited!  So was I.....  

after coming home.....    I decided we would go looking for snow....  AGAIN! So on Thursday morning we left here around 9:30am.  We drove North but toward I-75.  Every where we saw snow we stopped to take pictures!   Our Scavenger Hunt for Snow!

Our first stop....  Abbeville, Georgia.

This was in Perry, Georgia. At the Georgia National Fairgrounds. This is about an hour from our home....

Then.....  we found it! Amazing.  Beautiful.  

Macon, Georgia.  About 2 hours from our home.....

It was a great adventure.... spur of the moment......    something we will always remember! In Macon there was almost 3" of snow!   If it doesn't snow for another 4 years...  my 16 yr old girl will be 20! Wyatt will be 16 and Wesley 15.   So I had to grab the moment and run with it.   I am so thankful we did.  They are still talking about it!
