The Purpose of this Blog.

I have been thinking lately about this blog. I spend a lot of time talking about Compassion, our sponsored children and ......   well..... that.

Looking back through my blog posts ... even from last year I was a lot more personal.

I shared about our life here.....  school, family, issues.....

I shared about what has worked for us through the years.....

I shared what God was doing in our life....

My heart loves loves loves Compassion. It is easy for me to talk about. I believe in it.

Lately, I am feeling dry.  Sometimes as I read other blogs ....  I want to write with more eloquence or even just more intellectual.  I want to move people....   but that is not my job. So I am thinking all this through... asking questions about what is the purpose of this blog.

I have met some lifetime friends in this blogsphere.  Several that have walked with me through so much, several that have helped me as this love for CI has taken off and so many do not understand. Several that I love to read their blogs and keep up with....

What am I saying....  I am not sure. My main purpose of this blog was to share my heart and to glorify God in all I do....

So just taking a step back...   thinking through the purpose of this blog. Giving it to God and will see where it goes....

Sponsor a child today~

  2. I've always enjoyed reading your blog...keeping up with you, your famiy, your life! I enjoy how honestly you share from your heart. I do not sponsor through CI but am moved by the outreach of helping others. I enjoy watching your journey & how it's changed your lives. You have always held a special place in my heart. You have always encouraged me. I've thought about you alot as I've faced challenges in my life this summer. Love ya! Laurie

  3. I think there are quite a few of us trying to work through this process Teena. I have been keeping up with you, but I've pretty much reduced the amount of time I spend commenting in an effort to get some sort of balance.
It makes me sad, because I believe one of the joys of blogging is the encouragement we give and get. So I apologize for not commenting more. I'll be praying for you as you seek the Father's heart. I'm doing the very same thing.

  7. I don't think a blog needs a point or one topic or a thousands topics or followers...or anything. As long as you're writing and you're happy, then life is good.
